The Science Behind GLP-1 Microdosing
GLP-1 receptor agonists work throughout your body; not just on appetite.
Here’s what the research shows:
Brain Enhanced neuron activation and increased satiety signaling. May potentially provide neuroprotection.
Heart Cardiovascular protection through anti-inflammatory action, reduced blood lipids, and enhanced heart muscle function.
Liver Reduced liver glucose production, decreased liver fat content, and improvement in hepatic steatosis.
Pancreas Improved insulin synthesis and secretion, better blood glucose control, and islet cell protection.
GI Tract Slowed gastric emptying helps regulate postprandial glucose and increases feelings of fullness.
Our microdosing protocol is designed to minimize GI side effects while maintaining therapeutic efficacy.

Understanding GLP-1 Microdosing
Microdosing uses significantly lower doses—starting at 1/5 of the standard amount—to deliver therapeutic benefits while minimizing or eliminating common side effects like nausea and GI discomfort. The goal is optimal health benefits, not aggressive weight loss.
This program is designed for therapeutic benefits beyond weight loss. The goal is weight maintenance or stability—not significant loss.
Patients who meet BMI criteria who are seeking weight maintenance after previous GLP-1 therapy, metabolic health improvement, cardiovascular protection, or other clinical benefits may qualify. A video consultation with an Ivím provider will determine your eligibility.
When prescribed by a licensed provider and monitored appropriately, yes. The lower doses used in this program are specifically designed to reduce the likelihood of side effects while providing therapeutic benefit.
If you and your provider determine that higher doses would be beneficial, you can transition to our traditional GLP-1 program (if you meet the eligibility criteria).
There’s no required timeline at any given dose. Your provider will work with you to find your lowest effective dose and determine the appropriate duration based on your individual goals.
