FAQ

At IVIM, safety is our number one priority. During your telehealth consult, a physician will review your specific medical history, current medications, and other health-related information to ensure that the supplements you have selected are both safe and specific to your wellness goals. After your telehealth visit, a prescription will be sent to one of our FDA-regulated sterile compounding pharmacies, and the supplements will be delivered directly to your door.

Bioavailability refers to the rate and extent by which supplements, drugs, and metabolites are absorbed into our bloodstream and delivered to the target tissues. The higher the bioavailability, the greater the amount of absorption and potency of the supplement.

The most significant benefit to injectable supplements is greater bioavailability, guaranteed, every time. This is in contrast to the bioavailability of oral supplements, which is highly variable. When supplements are taken orally, they are first metabolized by the gastrointestinal tract and then absorbed into your bloodstream. Many factors can impact oral supplements’ nutrient absorption, such as chronic gastrointestinal issues, stomach ulcers, metabolism, chronic illnesses, medications, diet, or even prior surgeries. Injections remove many variables by allowing the substance to bypass metabolism and absorption via your GI tract and deliver the supplement directly into your bloodstream, thus allowing for greater bioavailability.

Absolutely! Intramuscular injections are a safe and effective way to administer supplements. After placing your order, we will provide you with a step-by-step instructional video with information on safely administering your intramuscular injections. Please also be sure to review all included safety materials and protocols before your injection.

The following tips will help your telehealth video consult run smoothly. Note: You will receive a text message with an access link to your virtual video consult. Before the start of your video medical consult

  • Test the technology before the visit.
  • Choose a private location with minimal background noise. You will want to be able to discuss your health care issues in private, free from distractions and interruptions.
  • Find a well-lit location. Make sure there is good lighting so your health care provider can see your face clearly. Turn any music, television, or video games off for the duration of your appointment.
  • Make sure the camera is steady. Set your computer or laptop on a flat service or prop up your phone or tablet on a desk or table.
  • Make sure you are in the middle of the screen and the camera is at eye level. What you see on your screen is the same thing the provider will see so it is important to make sure that you are close to the screen and looking straight into the camera.
  • Reduce background noise. Find a quiet place and reduce any potential distractions. Turn off alarms and sounds on other devices by selecting do not disturb.
  • Close other applications. Close other applications on your device to improve your internet connection and reduce distractions.
  • Stay focused. Try to avoid eating or drinking during your appointment. Do not do a telehealth visit while you are driving, exercising, or running errands.
  • Dress appropriately. Patients should dress appropriately for their consultation as they would be for an in-person appointment.
  • Please be on time. Patients should be punctual and ready to start the virtual consultation on time.
